Welcome to Caldron Pool!
Caldron Pool is a big pool right under the cliffs at the western end of Narnia. The great waterfall pours down into it with a noise like everlasting thunder, and the River of Narnia flows out on the other side. The waterfall keeps the Pool always dancing and bubbling and churning round and round as if it were on the boil, and that of course is how it got its name of Caldron Pool.

Our goal is to create a discussion community where our ideas dance and bubble and churn around with as much vigor as the waters of Caldron Pool itself.

Welcome to Caldron Pool, an entirely discussion-oriented Narnia community created by your friendly mod, a_kindara.

Caldron Pool is open to anyone who wants to post discussion, essays, or discussion questions pertaining to the Narnia book series, movie, or BBC series. However, I have to ask that you keep to discussion — no fanfiction here, please. There are other communities for that. And please don't post here to ask for help finding fanfiction, either — there are better places for that, as well. However, if you want to discuss the appeal of fanfiction involving incest, this is the perfect place to do it. Staying on topic, though, is a must — all discussion must specifically involve Narnia.

Any discussion is welcome to be posted (although something like "Does anyone know what color Lucy's hair is in the books? thanx" isn't exactly what we're looking for), but in addition to whatever you might wish to post in this community, I as your mod will be posting each week with a number of discussion questions on a particular topic in the fandom. Feel free to go overboard answering those questions — the intent is to promote discussion. However, if you don't have anything you particularly want to say, please don't respond just for the sake of responding. But if there's something you want to put in there, don't be afraid even if it's small — go right ahead!

A couple other little rules . . .
1. Please indicate any spoilers for books other than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Not everyone has read the books, and we don't want to ruin them.
2. Place any discussion longer than 200 words under an lj-cut. If you don't know how to use one, you can find out here.
3. Please, no bashing of anyone or anything for any reason. Even if you think incest or inter-species or whatever else is the most disgusting thing since the Roman sewers, either be respectful of others or don't say anything at all. (I don't expect any trouble with this — don't disappoint me.)

With that said, go ahead and discuss to your hearts' content!
